Iced Biscuits

Life’s a Beach: Summer Biscuits!!

Hello there!!

Its a been a while since my last blog post I know, but it’s been so hot out that I couldn’t be in the kitchen to cook tea let alone do a load of baking so I apologise for the neglect!!!

And I’m also going to use the weather as an excuse for not baking anything to celebrate the Royal Baby’s birth. Yes that was definitely the excuse. It has nothing at all to do with the fact that my two attempts at creating something fell flat, extremely flat πŸ™ never mind. A huge congratulations to William & Kate and if you’d like to see some awesome royal baby designs you can click here:

Anyway as it cooled down a little last week I finally got back to business and I made some summer biscuits!! And I couldn’t resist doing some VW camper vans as they are my hubby’s favourite! He loves most things on four wheels but the campervan is his dream ride!! And if you’ve seen the price of decent one he’ll have to keep dreaming!!! So in place of the actually thing me and the rest of the family have bought him over the years VW campervan coasters, moneyboxes, wine crates, salt and pepper shakers, calendars and mugs! And now he has VW campervan biscuits too!!

And I added some beach huts for a summery feel although remember…a camper is for life not just for summer!

I did both designs with the help of my trusty kopykake projector. I’m getting in the swing of using it now, and I’m loving it, although my electricity bill hasn’t come in yet so I might not be loving it quite so much after that πŸ˜‰

I’m happy with the campers but not so much the beach huts, I was a little impateint with the drying time in between colours so there was a little bit a bleeding. And when I added some suns for even more summery goodness….

….I forgot I’d already added suns to the beach hut biscuits!! Doh!

Well not to worry, in the UK we take all the sunshine we can get! You never know when it’ll be gone again!shel blue

P.S. As I’ve typed this, it’s raining! So you see, grab it while you can πŸ˜‰
